Boutique litigation firm in central Downtown Vancouver is looking to add a junior legal administrative assistant to their team in a busy, dynamic practice.
The firm is comprised of two partners and two associate lawyers, articled students, and support staff. You will be assisting one of the partners and his paralegal in a legal administrative assistant role.
Setting court dates, discoveries and communicating with registries;
Arranging court filings and applications;
Preparing and drafting various correspondence and documents, including court pleadings;
Maintaining an efficient file management and bring forward system;
Maintaining a full calendar, email management and managing lawyers’ practice;
Liaise with legal assistants, paralegals, other lawyers and clients on file progress; and
General administrative duties as required.
Be self-motivated with a strong work ethic;
Must have a Legal Administrative Assistant certificate from an accredited B.C. school;
Minimum of 1-2 years’ experience in a professional business environment;
Ability to prioritize workload and excellent organizational skills;
Strong technical skills, including knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, Adobe, and B.C. Online;
Excellent verbal and written communications skills;
Excellent organizational skills and, attention to detail;
The ability to prioritize a high volume of tasks and competing priorities; and
A client centered approach with the commitment to providing outstanding service.
