Rogers is seeking a Director, Access Network Implementation, Western Region reporting to the VP Access Network Implementation. This position is based out of our Vancouver , B.C. with travel to Toronto and Calgary offices as required. The Director, Access Network Implementation, Western Region will lead a team accountable for Wireless New Site Acquisition & Build, In building sites, upgrades and expansion of existing wireless sites, Hub Implementation and Transport projects in Western Region.
The successful candidate will possess strong communication skills and technical acumen to drives results and have the ability to lead through influence, build strong relationships and work collaboratively with all levels of the organization.
•Develop, manage and lead a team of Managers and staff in delivering Access Network Projects and Programs in the Western Region
•Manage the Western Region Wireless Network Real Estate portfolio, including site acquisition and lease renewals.
•Manage Wireless in-bound colocation requests
•Work with the Network PMO to ensure accurate tracking and reporting of project and program schedules, status and costs
•Support teams and remove road blocks on projects and programs.
•Build and drive a collaborative culture aligned to governance processes
•Lead, manage and motivate team by mentoring, coaching and ensuring development plans established for each team member
•Manage a budget to deliver against targets.
•Minimum of 10 years’ experience with at least 3 years in a Network management role
•Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a Network Implementation or Project Management role
•Post Secondary education in Engineering and/or Business Administration
•Strong understanding of Municipal approval processes for new wireless cell site construction
•PMP certification considered an asset.
•Ability to prioritize effectively and build alignment around what has been prioritized
•Expert problem solving, troubleshooting decision making skills
•Superior communication (written and verbal), negotiation and facilitation skills with various audiences.
•Must have the ability to consistently and collaboratively resolve issues, mitigate roadblocks, and align teams.
