Requirements:
- Completion of Post secondary education
- 3 or more years of related work experience
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Oversee and direct construction projects from conception to completion
- Collaborate with architects, engineers and other construction workers and subcontractors
- Select, schedule and coordinate subcontractor activities
- Supervise the activities of subcontractors and subordinate staff
- Prepare cost estimates, budgets and work timetable
- Oversee contracts and negotiations
- Prepare regular reports with updates on projects
- Plan ahead to prevent problems and resolutions
- Ensure quality construction standards and the use of proper construction techniques
- Comply with legal requirements, building and safety codes and other regulations
