Bowtie Auto Parts and Restorations is a busy and growing Muscle Car Auto Parts Store and Restorations Shop. We are looking to hire an experienced individual with parts sales experience, must be customer service oriented, hard-working, professional, a team player, well-spoken, and detail-oriented. Automotive knowledge is a must. The successful candidate will sell at retail parts to all available customers, over the counter, through the shop, online, and/or on the phone.
► Greet all customers and answer the phones in a polite and timely manner
► Answer phone calls, providing price quotes and other information. Assist outside sales representatives with their orders.
► Follow up with all customers on a daily basis and in a timely manner.
► Process customer and shop orders, backorders, credits, and quotes on a daily basis.
► Internet research and assist walk-in customers in selecting required parts, suggest companion requirements, offer specials and ensure that the customer is exposed to the full product line.
► Pull purchases from stock. If the parts are not in stock, determine availability, and submit an emergency order if requested by the customer.
► Set up orders for daily shipment, delivery, or pick up.
► Verify “will call” and “backorder” files weekly and return to vendors or stock those items not required.
► Order parts not in stock if, after discussion and approval from Manager.
► Keep front and rear counter areas clean and uncluttered.
► Replenish assigned inventory daily.
► Keep current on new products and product updates.
► Attend various car shows and muscle car events.
► Must follow all company safety policies and procedures.
Full-time Muscle Car and Performance Automotive Parts Counter-person qualifications:
► All applicants must have a solid understanding of muscle car and performance parts.
► Minimum of three years of sales and customer service experience with auto parts.
► Exceptional customer service skills must be an outgoing, pleasant, and positive attitude. which includes the ability to work well with the public, sometimes with several customers at a time.
► Strong communication skills, which include listening, verbal, and written.
► Teamwork must have the ability to work with others in a professional manner while attempting to achieve a common goal.
► Strong problem-solving, reasoning, and organizational skills.
► Analytical skills must have the ability to assess a situation, seek multiple perspectives, gather more information if necessary, and identify key issues that need to be addressed.
► Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy.
► Computer/technical literacy and willing to learn shops online systems.
► Able to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
► Ability to perform duties with a sense of urgency, exceeding customers’ expectations.
► Ability to work with minimal supervision.
► Physical ability to handle repetitive lifting and maneuvering of stock, able to lift a minimum of 50 pounds.
► Skilled in data entry.
► High school diploma or equivalent.
► Basic math skills.
Hours will include weekdays and Saturday’s, the successful candidate will require schedule flexibility as this role will also provide vacation coverage.
