Requirement and Skills:
• Completion of Secondary School
• 4 years of work experience
Main Duties & Responsibilities:
• Review blueprints and building codes and specifications to determine the layout for plumbing and related materials
• Locate and mark positions for connections and fixtures
• Install, repair and maintain plumbing systems and components
• Install, repair and maintain sinks, tubs and toilets
• Test pipe systems and fixtures for leaks
• Install heating and air-conditioning systems
• Chooses plumbing materials based on budget, location, and intended uses of building
• Follow health and safety standards and complies with building codes
• Troubleshoot systems that are not working
• Prepare work records
