Production worker/Driver

Wide Plank Hardwood is a recognized manufacturer of hardwood flooring located in Chilliwack.

We are seeking reliable, hard working production workers with experience in a fast paced environment.

Must have:

Valid Drivers license with a clean drivers abstract

Forklift Experience

Duties will include but not limited to:

Unloading and loading lumber

Inspecting product to ensure it meets quality control standards.

Work on a packaging line.

Safely operate wood working machines.

Responsible for some customer deliveries in company vehicle.

Ability to conduct pre- trip checks of assigned vehicle.

Qualifications:

Strong mechanical skills.

Excellent customer service skills with a professional demeanor to represent the company.

Experience with table saws, hand saw and various other wood working tools is required.

Ability to work under pressure while still providing quality workmanship.

An eye for detail having the ability to examine lumber for defects if necessary.

Able to work independently with minimum supervision.

Understanding of safety procedures and requirements.

Requirements:

Minimum high school diploma.

Basic math, reading and writing skills.

Physically capable of manual labor that includes lifting up to 50 pounds.

Valid Drivers license with a clean drivers abstract

Forklift certification.

Monday – Friday 7:00 a.m. – 3:30

Occasional overtime required with some Saturday shifts: 7 – 12
