Community Services is looking for a Program Leader to ensure a welcoming environment for participants, manage off site program coordination and administration, assist with activity planning, support activities and implement new programming ideas as well as facilitate the inclusion of new participants. The ideal candidate will have experience working with older adults, demonstrate excellent customer service, organization and interpersonal skills and the ability to maintain a high degree of enthusiasm and personal motivation without direct supervision.
Requirements include: completion of Grade 10; three months experience working with older adults in a recreational or instructional setting; ability to be inclusive and flexible to ensure a positive environment is created for all participants. Emergency First Aid and CPR-C; satisfactory police information check and a valid Class 4 Driver’s Licence, as required. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
The successful candidate will be required to work varying daytime shifts including occasional weekends (hours/shifts are subject to change).
