Reconciliation is a key corporate commitment at CMHC. This position is a temporary position for a duration of 24 months.
As part of our reconciliation plan we are creating this new role which will be responsible to elaborate, deploy and operate the action plan to attract, source and retain CMHC’s indigenous talents and will serve as a Talent Acquisition Partner and subject matter expert in Indigenous recruitment by providing strategic/ tactical advices, services and support to internal stakeholders.
• Partner with hiring managers, HRBP and other internal stakeholder (TA team, diversity team, reconciliation team, Employee Resource Group, etc.) to understand business’s functional areas, needs, role requirements and current recruitment practices.
• Elaborate, deploy and operate the action plan to increase trust & solidify networking opportunities with the indigenous communities (associations, schools, ISET, job boards, recruitment agencies, etc.).
• Determine sourcing & attraction strategies/methodologies to attract, source and hire indigenous talents.
• Coach & assist hiring managers in appropriate interviewing techniques, applicant selection, salary negotiation and other topics related to Indigenous recruitment best practices and cultural considerations.
• Screen candidates for minimum requirements: behavioural competencies, past experiences, education, salary expectations and availability.
• Perform salary analysis for candidate’s compensation package respecting internal equity and salary administration guidelines.
• Five (5) years of experience responsible of the full recruitment cycle working with talent acquisition metrics managing a high volume of requisitions.
• Knowledge of applicable laws, policies and best practices related to talent acquisition.
• Demonstrated project management skills to build, deploy and operate an action plan.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills (written & speaking in English or French).
• Experience using an ATS (SuccessFactors is preferred) would be an asset.
• Registered Professional Recruiter (RPR) designation, Certified Human Resources Leader (CHRL) designation, Certified Human Resources Professional (CHRP) designation.
