In accordance with established vision and values of the organization, the Clinical Practice Leader (CPL) practices in accordance with the standards of professional practice and code of ethics as outlined by the BC College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM), as well as within a person and family centered care model.
The CPL, provides leadership for the enhancement of professional practice through clinical practice, service development, clinical consultation and other improvement activities related to the delivery of patient care with a focus on daily operations of the UHNBC Hemodialysis unit. The Clinical Practice Leader coordinates and facilitates clinical activities, ensuring effective use of resources. This position acts as a liaison between management, physicians, staff and patients. Functioning as a leader, role model and a clinical resource, the Clinical Practice Leader supports the team to safely provide care to patients during treatment.
