About the role:
In this role, the Executive Vice President will positively impact the day-to-day operations from operational efficiency, compliance, team management, financial performance management and relationship management.
Reporting to the President, the Executive Vice President is a strong and active part of our team with three main focus areas:
- Strategy and leadership Development
- Implement and monitor corporate planning documents including, but not limited to operational plans, budgets, resourcing plans, project plans
- Establish objectives for the company and formulate or approve policies and programs
- Manage human and financial resources for strategy execution
- Act on behalf of Perpetual Insurance in official functions
2. Financial Management
- Plan and direct annual targets for all reports and identify areas of improvements
- Monitor and drive the financial performance of all locations and develop recommendations informed by qualitative and quantitative analysis
- Executive calendar & schedule management, ensuring effective prioritization and preparation
- Build and expand new and existing channels to increase and diversify company’s revenue mix
3. Team Management
- Lead the interactions with internal departments and build connections with external service providers
- Be responsible for the training and development of senior staff
- Organize staff meetings and team building events to foster a culture of collaboration
- Conducting performance evaluations of team staff
About You:
- 5+ year work experience in a similar direct managerial role, experience in financial services preferred
- have held a position at the executive level with experience in developing and presenting strategy, reports and directions
- Bachelor’s University Degree with relevant background in business administration, commerce, financial management or a related field. Advanced degree is preferred
- Experience in overseeing and leading change management, including designing and implementing new systems, processes and monitoring implementation
- An excellent leader and people person with experience in managing a diverse complement of staff
- Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet a variety of deadlines
- Proven track record in sound decision making within tight timeframes
- Demonstrated financial acumen and strong experience of managing budgets
- Possess excellent communication skills, second language will be an asset
