At Viva Voce, we offer Voice, Speech and Drama coaching to children and adults who want to become better communicators, public speakers, and performers. Our studio is in West Vancouver, and we are currently teaching both online and in person.

Our mission is to help as many people as possible to feel confident in their voice, so they can rely on it in any circumstance, and they can use it to be their own best advocate.
We have been in business for 8 years.
We seek qualified individuals to both teach Speech Arts to kids & adults, and to help administrate the programs.
You will help individuals of all ages become confident, effective speakers and performers through teaching them about their bodies and voices as tools for communication, and through helping them develop focus, clarity of thought, imagination, and empathy.
More specifically, classes include:
Voice (speaking voice)
Presentation Skills/ public speaking
Social Communication Skills
Poetry & prose recitation
acting contemporary monologues and classical Shakespeare
History & Literature
Most students enrol in private coaching sessions. Some small group classes
Teaching will be both online and in person.
Teaching hours are typically between 12-8:45pm on weekdays and 9-5pm on weekends.
You will be responsible for communicating with new/prospective clients, closing sales, scheduling, booking and invoicing.
Work can be done remotely.
Other tasks such as marketing, webpage design/updating etc, would be happily tasked to candidates with relevant experience and gusto.
Teach the above stated classes, using the curriculum and resources where provided, coupled with your own knowledge, experience, and ideas to provide the best service possible.
Prepare students for graded examinations with RCM or Trinity.
Co-plan and lead 3 workshops a year.
Interact with parents to inform them of their child’s progress.
Manage telephone calls and emails.
Register new clients.
Participate in weekly staff meetings.
Bachelors or Masters Degree in Theatre, Performance, Voice, Communication, or similar 3 years experience teaching both children and adults

Experience with the RCM and Trinity Syllabus beneficial
