Warehouse Associate

Primary Objective of Position:
Responsibilities include but are not limited to manual loading and unloading of freight with the use of pallet jack (pump truck), sorting, and scanning packages. Duties include general labour and warehouse maintenance. Works under the direct supervision of the Operations Supervisor or Team Lead.

Work Location: 3200 East Broadway, Vancouver, BC
*Location is a 5 to 10-minute walk from Rupert Sky Station

Rate: $17.00/ hour

Full-Time:
1) Monday-Friday
2:00PM-10:30PM

2) Tuesday-Sunday
9:00PM-5:30AM

Part-Time:
1) Monday-Friday
2:00PM-6:00PM OR 4:00PM-8:30PM

2) Sat + Sun
10:00AM-6:30PM OR 11:00AM-7:30PM
*Must be available for both Saturday and Sunday

Essential Job Functions include (but are not limited to):
– Unloading and loading packages
– Manual sorting and scanning of packages
– Wrapping, closing, and staging pallets
– Understanding and usage of Amazon scanners
– Meeting Amazon’s KPI scan rate
– Comply with operations requirements as necessary
– Adhere to CEVA’s policies and procedures

Secondary Job Functions:
– Attending and contributing to pre-shift meetings
– Champion safety in all aspects

Essential Skills and Qualifications:
– High school diploma preferred
– Possess a valid work or study permit
– Must possess problem-solving, conflict resolution, decision making, and planning/organizing skills
– Must be able to work well in a team environment and independently
– Ability to work in high volume pedestrian and machine traffic
– Ability to multi-task and have excellent time management
– Ability to commit to a varying schedule
– Ability to work in a fast-paced and noisy environment
– Ability to complete assigned work within a given timeframe
– General understanding of how each work area interconnects
– Frequent walking, bending and lifting, and constant standing
– Handling of packages up to 50 lbs routinely
– Ability to work under hot and humid conditions in the summer
